Charles Koch Foundation : Postsecondary Education GrantsEducation should help people discover, develop, and deploy their unique aptitudes and gifts. However, millions of learners experience the opposite: a one-size-fits-all model that prizes exclusivity and standardization over meeting individual needs. Every person is unique and deserves a learning experience that empowers them to achieve success—however, they define it. We envision a transformational redesign of postsecondary education. Why? 1. Almost three-quarters of learners who want to build new skills prefer to do so somewhere other than a four-year college or university 2. Nearly half of parents want their child to have alternatives to a four-year institution 3. Sixty-one percent of graduates regret their choice of major 4. 38 of the top 100 colleges in America have more students from the top 1 percent of income-earning households than there are from the bottom 60 percent 5. Just 11% of business executives believe higher education institutions “are graduating students with the skills and competencies that my business needs” 6. We are eager to partner with social entrepreneurs and organizations dedicated to providing experiences that put learners in charge of their journey and that foster a commitment to lifelong learning. This transformational redesign will not be restricted to the classroom or campus. It will require a movement of educators, innovators, employers, philanthropists, parents, and others who are committed to helping learners of all ages discover, develop, and apply their talents. If your mission is to create platforms, programs, opportunities, and experiences that: 1. Encourage people to identify their talents and passions  2. Help learners gain the knowledge and values necessary to turn their talents into valued skills; or 3. Provide the opportunity for all individuals to use their skills to experience success12/31/2024 12:00 AMUnspecifiedhttps://charleskochfoundation.org/grants/postsecondary-education/https://charleskochfoundation.tfaforms.net/344037?tfa_13=tfa_1481
Charles Koch Foundation : General Grant ProposalsThe Charles Koch Foundation supports proposals from individuals seeking innovative solutions. The best way to find out if your project request is a good match with the goals and vision of the Foundation is to submit an online grant proposal. The Foundation generally supports only Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) non-profit public charities and universities that are organized and operated within the United States. Grant requests from for-profit corporations will typically not be considered, and requests from individuals will not be considered unless pursuant to a Foundation individual grant program. Also, the Foundation generally does not provide support for overhead in grants made to universities, colleges, or other similar institutions. Overhead includes, but is not limited to, insufficiently specified and/or insufficiently detailed overhead costs (e.g., a requirement that a fixed percentage of a grant amount be dedicated to grant administration) and fringe benefits. Please note that federal tax law prohibits grant funds from being used to support or oppose any candidate for political office or for lobbying activities.12/31/2024 12:00 AMUnspecifiedhttps://charleskochfoundation.org/grants/general-proposals/https://charleskochfoundation.tfaforms.net/344037?tfa_13=tfa_25
